Here's a list of retail stores that will be selling the iPhone 4S on October 14. This is not a complete list, just some suggestions on other places you can go if you don't have an Apple Store near you. All Apple locations will be opening at 8 am local time on Friday, October 14, and will be offering a free Personal Setup service.
AT&T, Verizon and Sprint stores will also be carrying the iPhone 4S, but are not a great option. If you have to buy it directly from your carrier I would call ahead to make sure they plan to have a lot in stock.
The iPhone 4S is $199.99 for the 16GB model, $299.99 for the 32GB model and $399.99 for the 64GB model. All prices require a new or upgraded contract.
Be Prepared:
- Upgrade our old iPhone to iOS 5 if you plan to replace it- Have the Social Security number of the primary account holder
- Bring a Valid Photo ID
- Know all your passwords and Apple ID
Best Buy
All Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile locations will be offering the Sprint, Verizon and AT&T iPhone models. They are also accepting pre-orders. Call ahead to make sure they have pre-order slots available.

Sam's Club
Sam's Club is accepting iPhone 4S pre-orders starting October 11. It will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last on October 14. Not all locations are participating and you need a Sam's Club membership to buy a phone. You can check the Sam's Club website for a participating location near you.
Radio Shack
The Shack will be carrying the iPhone 4S, but you have to be careful because some local franchises might not have it. My local Radio Shack doesn't carry some devices because they do not work well in the rural area.
