New iOS Apps of the Week: Cut the Rope 2, MyGlass for iOS and More

Here are some of the top apps and games released to the Apple App Store this week (12/15/13 to 12/22/13). This was a really big week for new and retro games plus two huge sequels were also released!

Cut the Rope 2: $0.99 for the iPod touch, iPhone and iPad (Requires iOS 4.3 or later) Rated 4+

Cut the Rope 2

One of the most anticipated sequels in App Store history, Cut the Rope 2 features all new characters, levels, and tricky missions. In the sequel Om Nom enlists the aid of the Nommies to help him collect candy. New features include: 120 entirely new levels, 5 new characters, new graphics, sound and gameplay elements.

MEET OM NOM’S NEW FRIENDS, THE NOMMIES!

• Roto can carry Om Nom to the best candy catching locations
• Lick can make small bridges with his tongue to help Om Nom reach his goal
• Blue can lift Om Nom to new levels of candy hunting fun

MyGlass for iOS: Free for iPhone and iPad (Requires iOS 7 or later)

MyGlass for iOS

The Google Glass companion app for iOS devices was released to the App Store only to be pulled a few hours later, but it's finally back. The app allows iOS users to configure and manage their Glass device and screencast what they see on Glass to their iPhone.

The official App Description warns: "If you don't have Glass, then downloading this will be a waste of time. Sorry about that. Learn more at google.com/glass."

Veedeo: $0.99 for the iPod touch, iPhone and iPad (Requires iOS 7 or later) Rated 4+

Veedeo

An Instagram companion app that promises to "help you create beautiful videos in record time."

Features:

Walking Dead: The Game - Season 2: $4.99 for the first episode "All That Remains". Additional episodes are available as in-app purchases. Compatible with all iOS devices running iOS 6.0 or later except the iPhone 4. Rated 17+

Walking Dead: The Game - Season 2

The sequel to Telltale's popular Walking Dead game "Season 2" continues the story of Clementine, a young girl orphaned by the undead apocalypse. The game takes place in the same universe as AMC's hit television adaptation of Robert Kirkman's graphic novel, but it features its own story line and characters.

Season Two includes the episodes:

Episode 1: All That Remains
Episode 2: A House Divided
Episode 3: In Harm’s Way
Episode 4: Amid the Ruins
Episode 5: No Going Back

Episode 1 is available now and episodes 2-5 will be released periodically in 2014.

Tomb Raider: $0.99 for the iPod touch, iPhone and iPad (Requires iOS 7 or later) Rated 9+

Tomb Raider iOS

The classic game that help make the Sony PlayStation a hit is now avilable on iOS devices. Square Enix promises that this is "the full, unedited, unadulterated experience from the classic release at a super-low price." The iOS version also features two extra chapters that were included in the game’s 1998 re-release, and it supports the MOGA Ace Power and the Logitech PowerShell iOS gamepads.
