How to schedule iOS messages and more with Columba

Columba is a messaging tweak that brings many enhancements to jailbroken iOS 8.x devices. In addition to quick compose and quick reply functions accessible from anywhere, Columba adds messaging templates and scheduling to the mix. Once installed, the tweak can be configured under Settings. The first choice is whether to enable a windowed interface or stick to the full native Messages style.

Quick compose can be enabled using Activator or by tapping a special button on the volume HUD. Other features include the following:

- Windowed quick reply
- Conversation history
- Quick compose from anywhere
- Message forwarding
- Message scheduling
- Message templates

While the developer has issued updates to address some known issues, Columba is still a work in progress. Beware that some users have experienced problems. In the meantime, since biteSMS is not iOS 8 compatible, many are looking for an option similar to Columba to enhance messaging on their devices.
