Apple TV 4 and Beats Pill+ now available

Beats Pill Plus

As promised, pre-orders for the fourth-generation Apple TV are now being accepted on apple.com. Apple customers can nab a 32GB model for $149 or a 64GB model for $199. The set top box will arrive around October 30 for customers who pre-order today and select the next day shipping option (around $17). There is also a free shipping option which will arrive around November 2.

The Apple TV 4 is a significant upgrade from its predecessor. It is powered by Apple's A8 chip and 2GB of RAM, and it ships with a Siri Remote plus universal search. The new Apple TV is also capable of downloading third-party apps from the App Store, including video games, and it supports this-party controllers, such as the SteelSeries Nibus.

Apple is offering a variety of Apple TV accessories like the Remote Loop for $12.99. The Remote Loop is exactly like the wrist strap found on the Nintendo Wii controller. It is used to stop yourself from accidentally throwing your Siri Remote through your television while using it to play video games.

You can also add an AppleCare Protection Plan for $29, an HDMI-to-HDMI cable for $19, and there are replacement Siri Remotes available for $79.

The new Beats Pill+ is also now available on apple.com for $229. The new wireless speaker can pair to any Bluetooth-enabled device including your MacBook, and it can act as a speakerphone for your iPhone.

The Beats Pill+ includes a Lighting port, a regular USB port and it can easily sync with your friends' devices or other Beats Pill+ speakers using the new Beats Pill+ app.
