Why won't my iPhone Raise to Wake with iOS 10?

Raise to Wake requires the M9 motion coprocessor to function. Devices without the M9 are not capable of Raise to Wake.

The M9 can be found in the iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus and later.

Raise to Wake is a feature introduced in iOS 10. Instead of tapping the home button or power button to view the lock screen, users can simply lift up the iPhone.

Raise to wake no longer works on my iPhone SE. Despite repeated rebooting. What gives?

Is it disabled? http://www.iphonefaq.org/archives/975468

I've got the iPhone 6s and raise to wake didn't ever install on my phone. I haven't seen or heard of this happening to anyone else! Just curious if anyone else has?

My iPhone 6 has iOS 10 and it also does NOT have the Raise to Wake feature.

Mine doesn't have it either.
