The goal of the game is to complete various match three levels to unlock furniture to decorate your house. Jewel Town features lots of cute Hello Kitty collectibles for you to unlock, and it includes all the popular characters from Sanrio, including My Melody, Pochacco, Bad Badtz-Maru and more.
The game is played like any match three title where you move different blocks to match 3 or more of the same color. Each level has its own unique goal and requirement. For example, some levels require that you to beat a clock, while others require that you achieve your goal before you use your allotted amount of turns. There are over 300 different levels in the game so you'll never run out of puzzles to play.
Like other match three titles, Jewel Town utilizes an energy system, but instead ofcosting energy to access every level, you only lose energy when you fail to complete a puzzle. This allows you to continue enjoying the game as long as you keep winning. You can also receive energy as gifts from real life friends or other Sanrio characters within the game.
The social aspect of Jewel Town is also what makes the game fun to play. Not only can you visit your Facebook friend's houses, but you can send each other daily boosters which you will need to advance further in the game. You can also find little presents in each house you visit. These packages normally just include in-game coins, but sometimes you can get premium gems and additional energy.
Jewel Town includes daily bonuses, achievements and you can even purchase additional buildings to create your own Hello Kitty Cafe or other themes.
