iPhone 3G and 3GS models now support five Bluetooth profiles. Here's the list of supported profiles for users running firmware 3.0.

Original iPhone:
Hands-Free Profile (HFP 1.5)
Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP)

iPhone 3G and 3GS:
Hands-Free Profile (HFP 1.5)
Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP)
Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP)
Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP)
Personal Area Network Profile (PAN)

AVRCP on the iPhone 3G and 3GS only supports play, pause and stop functions.

Earlier versions of iPhone firmware running on the original iPhone and 3G models support one Bluetooth profile: Headset Profile (HSP).
