Five Nights at Freddy's creator, Scott Cawthon, is not known for sticking with scheduled release dates, but most of the time it's because he likes to release titles early, not late. On Tuesday, Cawthon announced that his FNAF spinoff, Sister Location, "might be postponed" because certain plot elements are very "dark." Cawthon said the game could be delayed up to "several months" to give him time to rework it into a more kid friendly title.

In a note published on the Steam, Cawthon said he was "not satisfied with the reviews and ratings" the game was recieving even though it had a "Very Postive" overall response from players. Most of the negative reviews were directed towards the rushed and unfinished feeling of the game. Cawthon said he is currently polishing up FNaF World and creating a "fully 3D overworld" for a future release.
