Netflix Gets iOS 7 Redesign and New Icon

Netflix subscribers can enjoy a brand new interface thanks to a refresh of the universal iOS app. iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users running iOS 6.0 or later can install version 6.0 of Netflix free of charge. In addition to bug fixes, the update includes a redesigned icon for iOS 7.

Faster startup for video playback is one of the improvements listed by Netflix under the app description in iTunes. Netflix members can instantly watch thousands of shows and movies from anywhere with connectivity on their iOS devices.

New iPhone 6 Mockups Surface

Since the iPhone 6 was first announced, mockups and purported photos of prototypes and cases have been popping up on a weekly basis. As the launch date nears, many of the rumored details and specs are becoming more certain and recent mockups reflect them. Two of the latest images come from Japanese site weekly.ascii.jp and Korean site Seeko.

The photos from both sites show what appears to be the standard 4.7" model iPhone 6 (the iPhone 5 is 4"). They show a slimmer handset, which aligns with rumors that the iPhone 6 will be somewhere between 6.5 and 7.0 mm thick, as opposed to the current iPhone, which is 7.6 mm thick. iOS 8 Users Can Recover Deleted Photos on Their iPhone

A few weeks have passed since Apple's iOS 8 preview giving developers plenty of time to dig around and discover new features in the beta. Several sources have found a "Recently Deleted” album in the Camera app. The folder allows users to access their deleted photos and recover images or videos they accidentally deleted.

The ability to hide individual photos was also previously discovered in the Photos app. Users can now tap and hold a thumbnail or image to bring up the "Hide Photo" option. So far you can only keep images hidden from the Moments, Collections and Years albums.

Due to criticism of its recent lack of innovativeness in marketing, Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) has decided to start its own marketing division. The company has already hired a lot of talent recently, including Beats co-founders Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine, Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts and branding agency Wolff Olins CEO Karl Heiselman among others, all of whom could prove valuable to a marketing team. For now, the in-house team will compete with long time marketing partner TBWA/Media Arts Lab.

Following the stock split, investment bank RBC Capital Markets last week raised its price target to $100 per share, which puts it near the company's all time high of $100.30. This is up from its previous price target of $96.

Bitcoin Wallets Are Slowly Making Their Way Back to Apple's App Store

Coin Pocket has become the first Bitcoin wallet to re-join the App Store, after Apple updated its App Store Review Guidelines to allow virtual currency apps that are in "compliance with all state and federal laws for the territories" in which they function. Other apps such as eGifter are also taking advantage of Apple's new virtual currency policy by now accepting Bitcoin payments.

Coin Pocket is a standalone wallet app that allows users to send and receive Bitcoins. Users can also collect and encrypt private keys within the app. Coin Wallet is free to download and it is compatible with all devices running iOS 7.1 or later.
