Telltale's Walking Dead: The Game now free on the App Store

Telltale Walking Dead

Telltale Games has been around since 2004, but they didn't become a household name until 2011 when they released Walking Dead: The Game. The App Store title based on Robert Kirkman’s award-winning comic book series also helped Telltale release other apps based on popular properties such as Game of Thrones and Batman. Now six years later the title that put the studio on the map, and a few other Telltale games, are available at various discounted prices on the Apple App Store.

The first episodes of both Season 1 and Season 2 of the Walking Dead mobile game are currently available for free. Telltale is also offering season passes for both titles at $4.99 and $6.99, respectively. If that's not enough Walking Dead for you, A New Frontier and Michonne are also available at the discounted price of $4.99.

The game follows all five Guardians, Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot, on an all new adventure where they discover an artifact of unspeakable power. Telltale's Batman series being met with negative reviews on iOS

Batman - The Telltale Series

Telltale has had a pretty rock solid reputation for releasing great games based on popular franchises, such as The Walking Dead and even Minecraft, but iOS users have been pretty disappointed in the recently released Batman title from the developer. The iOS version of Batman - The Telltale Series has finally been released to the App Store after being delayed a few weeks. The game has already been available on consoles like the PS4 and PC for almost two months. In that time it has earned a mostly positive rating on Steam, and average scores on Metacritic. However, it has been a different story on the App Store and on Apple gaming forums.

Telltale's Game of Thrones Game Now Available for iOS Devices

The first episode of Telltale's highly anticipated six part episodic game series based on HBO's Game of Thrones television show is now available for iOS devices. Unlike Telltale's Walking Dead series, where players follow a different story line than the show, the Game of Thrones game features familiar characters from the television series and books. Players can play as different members of the House Forrester, a noble family briefly mentioned in the fifth book “A Dance with Dragons".

Game of Thrones - A Telltale Games Series

The game is a graphic adventure where a player's decisions affect the outcome of the story. For example, a player's actions during a quick time event could lead to a character in the game being killed. The game is released and sold in episodes which are also affected by a player's decisions in the previous chapters.
