So I thought this is kind of newsworthy. I just learned of a new service called App Incubator that's put out by a company called MEDL Mobile. The service basically democratizes the production of iPhone apps, so anyone with a good app idea can submit it for review. If it gets approved for production, the person who came up with the app gets paid for it.
The Yahoo news story mentioned 25% of profits--I'm not sure if that's up to a certain number of downloads or residual, but either way, its a pretty nice deal. Plus if the app really takes off, you've got some sugary icing for the resume.
