So I've been trying to figure out how to get some pictures onto my iPhone without uploading them from iTuens via the Photo option, because it's one picture.  So I tried e-mailing the picture to both of my e-mail accounts on my iPhone, and I can't save the attachment...it just shows me the picture

This also occurs when sending pictures to/from my girlfriend, I can never save the pictures she sends me...anyone have any suggestions? :d

I may be wrong, but I don't think there is a way to do this.

Just like you can't save images from webpages - all files on the iPhone get there via iTunes.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see this sort of feature come along with the file browsing ability that's supposed to come via update.

Right now, if you saved an attachment from an email - how would you access it?

That's the thing, I haven't saved any attachments via e-mail; I've only tried with pictures though, and it doesn't give me the option to save, it just loads the picture in the e-mail

It doesn't give the option because you can't do it. Wink

As Anders mentioned, a file browser is supposed to be in a subsequent update (rumored, not confirmed).

That said, I would be very surprised to see that in the first update.
