Its just your AIM password

not like a SSN or anything
Is this always the case though. For instance, for Google messenger - isn't your pwd the same as your gmail account?

If you have a hotmail account and use MSN messenger - they both use the same login/pwd.

Yes this is all true BUT with a VERY different twist, if you *ARE* say AIM well you are responsible for it, but these are THIRD PARTY sites you are refering to, its like giving your car keys to a vallet driver (which is what you do when you logon to any of these sites) OR you give your keys to some kid to give TO the vallet driver, and you really have no idea who this "kid" is Smiley

Does that make the vallet driver or parkinglot unsafe? No, but if you are how should I put it trusting enough (naive? Wink) to give out this info to anyone on a site (yes it's not "anyone" but it MIGHT BE!) its like giving your keys to anyone.

Another note is how many people use the same usernames/passwords for other things?

Yeah. I for one have serious concerns about the security of those sites.

Looks very cool.

Though, I'll have to admit, for a minute I got excited thinking that it was some way to use your iPhone as a remote control for your TV, etc.

Then I remembered there's no IR. Smiley

TONS of cool apps, and other links to more websites with more apps...it was some sort of development camp, where a lot of people went and released whatever they had developed for the iPhone

Check it out Wink

Used JiveTalk yesterday and was working fine... seemed to be down this morning though. Hopefully they're  not taking it down for more development - it worked great for me.

I didn't like most of the others.

Not bad. They need to add more cities, though.

Traffic app for the iphone.

Not sure why this was made as google maps already offers this. Anyone having reliability issues w/ the traffic info in gmaps?
