I have a iPod which I'm planning on replacing w/ an iPhone once it's released. However, I want to be sure I can use it with my Bose SoundDock before I do.
Does anyone know if the iPhone will work with this?

I'd be absolutely shocked to find out it didn't work.
Too much to lose for both Apple and Bose if it didn't.

I think Apples come too far with the "Dock Connector" to change things on us and all its suppliers now.

It will work as long as the iPhone isn't too big to fit in the space provided. The connector is the same.

This would easily be solved by some kind of adaptor.

You mean like a wire or something? If so, yes, but wouldn't that defeat the purpose - it then wouldn't actually "dock".

They will make a little dock adapter, similar to the ones that came with the nano's.

Is this speculation or do you actually know this?

Speculation, but they've included the adapter with every new iPod they've shipped, and Jobs has referred to the iPhone many times as "the best iPod we've ever made," so I'm guessing they are shipping with adapters.

Well, they might natively fit - as well.

Definitely think it will fit. I'm hoping so too, as I have quite a nice dock.

im hoping they are smart and include a home charger. if it works like an ipod they would have to because then you wouldn't be able to send/recieve calls or anything when charging or syncing,
