Is there an apllication limit???

Hi there

I have a problem

I downloaded a lot of applications

But it seems that my iphone has a maximum of 8 pages of applications/programs
If I add further programs they simply dont show on the phone
I can of course delete the older programs...but i hoped there would be a possibility of having more programs at once.

Does anybody have a solution to the problem??
