The more I think about this, the more it is starting to really bug me.

Anyone have any idea why this feature was left out and/or if there are any plans to add it later?

For me personally MMS isn't that interesting anymore when most people have "full" (that is emails with attachements such as pictures) emails possible on their phones, also with such you usually have an unlimited data plan, which not always includes SMS/MMS.

I'd feel comfortable arguing that the majority of cell phone users still do not have email on their phones, which makes the lack of MMS inclusion still a bit shocking.

..and I'd feel comfortable arguing that the same majority of phone users either don't have MMS or don't (know how to) use it Smiley

I'm not even a big MMS user - as I don't take many photos with my phones - but in my experience one of the more used features on mobile are people taking pics of stupid crap and sending it to their friends. Smiley

True, but having used GSM since the dawn of it in the early 90's (yes in the country GSM was first launched) and having used SMS also since then, I have yet to send or recieve an MMS, ok ok its true my current device doesn't support MMS, its been about 3 times when someone wanted to send me MMS, but now instead I have all those pics archived in my email files, since instead MMS I got those pics in email.

I mean people trying to send from their iPhones.

I bet you AT&T gets a TON of calls today from people asking how they can "txt a picture to their friends".

I dont think so, anyone who is going to have to call in asking "how to" on an Apple product such as the iPhone, I doubt they even know what MMS stands for Smiley

It was while we were on line at an AT&T store. The manager came out and said he had just gotten info on the iPhone. He claimed it needed to be charged for 20 mins before use, and that there would be an update at midnight.

...oh if you only had some info (more than these sales people at these various mobile places) and you'd know how GENERALLY speaking they will tell you ANYTHING just to tell you something.

I was in my local at&t store just about a month ago (on another issue for a friend) and the customer in front of me was complaining about the reception, so the sales person check the phone and said "oh you have the old 'chip' let me swap it for the new one and it will be better" first off where did they start telling americans that it is called a 'chip' and 'text message'? Its called SIM CARD (from the ENGLISH abreviation Subscriber Identification Card, and SMS (Short Message Service) every GSM user in the world even those with different alpahbets know these terms to begin with and what let me swap your sim card and that will fix your reception? How naive are the customers, and what makes these sales people be so bold in their lies? Its sad really!
