Apple engineered AirPods to be intuitive and convenient, which means that many functions are fully automatic. AirPods are designed to seamlessly transition audio from a connected device as soon as the earphones are placed into your ears. In fact, taking the AirPods out of your ears will pause whatever audio is playing, while replacing the AirPods restarts playback.

Charging bricks disappear. Often. Kids lose them, suitcases and hotel rooms eat them, your co-workers steal them. The cheap replacements you buy at the gas station on the way home break after a few weeks and charge at a glacial pace.
And Lightning cables? Mostly the same story. Unless they wear out before they have time to disappear. Third-party replacements never seem to last long. They break, the jackets slip off the port adapters, or they just stop working. Even the authentic Apple brand cables have a bad habit of failing right where the cable meets the Lightning adapter.

With iOS 11, Apple adopted the High Efficiency Image Format (HEIF) as a replacement for JPEG on both iOS and macOS. The HEIF format saves a considerable amount of storage space with its .HEIC files (High Efficiency Image Container) being up to 50 percent smaller than the same image saved in JPEG format. Despite the smaller size, the HEIF format can capture 16 bit color whereas the JPEG only handles 8 bit. Clearly HEIF is preferable to JPEG right?
You can change the look of your Memoji at any time from the Messages app. Just tap the Memoji icon (3 faces) in the apps tray, then tap the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner from the pop up menu screen.

Out of nowhere this week Nintendo released Dr. Mario World for mobile devices. This is the second iOS title to star Nintendo's mascot, Mario, the first being Super Mario Run. Unlike Super Mario Run, which was $10 for the full version, Dr. Mario World is free to download. Nintendo figured out there is more money in microtransactions than charging a one time premium fee. You can download the game from the Apple App Store.
