If you have ever received a zipped or compressed archive as an email attachment and tried to open it on your iPhone, you've seen that you can view the contents but can't edit the individual files, or share them individually. Surprisingly, as of iOS 12, there is no built in option to extract zipped files. You can, however, easily create a shortcut that will do it for you. Here's how to do it on iPhone and iPad:

Siri enjoys delivering answers to iPhone owners whether their devices are locked or unlocked. Sometimes the call "Hey Siri" is even answered no matter who is asking. Pressing the Side button or Home button can also invoke Siri from the Lock Screen. For those who consider this a privacy or security risk, Siri can be completely disabled when the iPhone is locked.

This week we're looking at some of the best new games released to the Apple App Store, but first here are a few pre-orders you might want to check out. Alien: Blackout ($4.99) didn't have the best reception on YouTube, but fans of horror survival games like Five Nights at Freddy's will want to check it out. It includes "seven fear-inducing levels" set in the Alien universe.

Finding the right tab in Safari can be difficult when many tabs are open. It can be downright impossible if your iOS device is running up against Safari's maximum tab limit. Luckily there is a simple way to search open tabs on the iPhone, right in the Safari app.

It was announced last year that FoxNext Games was working on a new shooter based on the popular Alien franchise. Fans were heavily disappointed by Gearbox's Aliens: Colonial Marines released in 2013, and not everyone was happy with the stealth game Alien: Isolation. This is why gamers were excited when 20th Century Fox filed for a gaming trademark for Alien: Blackout in November.
