Will I be able to use iTunes music for my ring tones?

At this time, the only way to use custom ringtones on the Apple iPhone is through a somewhat complicated hack.

Apple is rumored to be planning custom ringontes for a coming update to the iPhone.

Will I be able to download iTunes directly to my phone?

No, not when the iPhone is released anyway. This is most likely because Cingular fears possible bandwidth issues. An Apple spokesperson suggested that it would be technically possible to add the iTunes software in the future. It is not known at this time if first generation iPhones will be able to be updated with the iTunes software or if it will be a nextgen addition.

Will the iPhone operating system take up my storage space?

The operating system will be stored along side your music. On the bright side, Apple claims that the iPhone's version of OS X should only take up less than half a gigabye of space. So in reality, it appears that iPhones will have 3.5 and 7.5GB of free space to work with.

When will the iPhone be released/available?

First it was Christmas, then it was January 9th, then it was January 15th. All of these, as you already know, proved to be wrong. For now, the official word from both Apple and Cingular is that the iPhone will go on sale in June of this year (2007). Neither company has offered an exact release date and our feeling is we won't be hearing of one any time soon.

Will the iPhone support Cingular's 3G network?

Apple iPhone Announced

Well, we've finally got a reason to exist!

After almost a year of speculation, the Apple iPhone has been announced. During an almost two hour keynote address by Steve Jobs today, months of rumors and second guessing have been laid to rest. Apple has announced what time may prove to be the most innovative device it has ever designed and produced.
