iOS 7.0.3 Brings Back iCloud Keychain, Wikipedia Search and Fixes iPhone 5s Calibration Issues

Apple quietly rolled out iOS 7.0.3 after the iPad Air event on Tuesday. The update brings back features like iCloud Keychain support, the ability to search Wikipedia from Spotlight and it fixes a few things like the accelerometer calibration issues. As you can see from the image posted below, Venture Beat has proved that Apple's fix has worked and "sensor-gate" should be over.

The image shows an iPhone 5 (the far phone) without 7.0.3 reading .2 degrees off level and an iPhone 5s (middle phone) with the iOS 7.0.3 fix reading .1 degrees of level. The nearest phone is an iPhone 5c which demonstrates the original sensor issue.

Hulu Plus Adds Chromecast Support for iPhone

Up until now only Android and iPad users could stream Hulu Plus using Google' s Chromecast, but today Hulu has added iPhone support. Chromecast allows users to stream movies, TV shows and music from Netflix, YouTube, Hulu Plus to their HDTV. Current Hulu Plus subscribers can download the iOS app for free from the Apple App Store now, and start streaming through Chromecast from their iPhones today.

Hulu Plus is $7.99 a month and gives you unlimited access to popular TV shows, movies and Hulu Originals. However, the service is still supported by commercials so Hulu can "reduce the monthly subscription price." Hulu Plus can also be viewed directly on your iPad, iPhone and Apple TV and supports the PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Wii and Wii U.

BlackBerry Wants iOS and Android Users to Line Up for BBM

After many, many hiccups BBM is finally available on the Apple App Store, but with a catch. BlackBerry announced today that BBM will begin rolling out to Google Play, the Apple App Store and in select Samsung App Stores, but they need new users to get in line before they can use it.

The company says about six million people showed interest in BBM at BBM.com, and about one million Android users are already using a leaked version of the messenger. This is why BlackBerry has started a "line-up system to ensure a smooth roll out." To avoid a repeat of last month's server issues, new users must enter their email address to hold their spot in line after they download the app. BBM fans who already signed up at BBM.com can start using the app immediately without waiting.

Boost Mobile Announces iPhone 5s and 5c

Boost Mobile announced today that it would begin carrying the iPhone 5s and 5c beginning on November 8. The Sprint-owned company is not the only prepaid carrier to offer Apple's newest handsets. Virgin Mobile is already selling both the iPhone 5s and 5c for $549 and $449, respectively. Cricket will begin selling both devices on October 25, and US Cellular announced it will also offer the 5s and 5c on the same day as Boost Mobile.
