Can I install iOS 8 on my iPhone / iPad / iPod touch?

At WWDC 2014, Apple reiterated the fact that iOS updates are always available to the widest range of existing devices possible. This has helped to bring the iOS 7 installed base to almost 90 percent. It's a fact of life that older hardware gets left behind at some point.

When iOS 8 launches this fall, it's likely that some supported devices will experience the new firmware with reduced functionality. So what devices will support iOS 8? Here is the complete list:
