Countless users have taken advantage of the AppSnapp jailbreak method which provides jailbreaking in a single step just by visiting a website from your iPhone. That website, incidentally, is jailbreakme.com.
Recently, many users have been reporting difficulties getting the AppSnapp jailbreak to work. These users all report a common set of symptoms. When visiting the jailbreakme.com page and selecting the install option, Safari just crashes back to the homescreen and nothing happens. No jailbreak, no nothing.
This issue seems to be caused by attempting to jailbreak via AppSnapp while on EDGE. Though there's no clear indication why (some claim it is due to AT&T blocking certain traffic from AppSnapp), at this point in time, most (if not all) users who have issues getting the jailbreakme.com solution to work find that when attempting the same steps over WiFi, everything works fine.
So, that's it - when attempting to use the AppSnapp/jailbreakme.com jailbreak for a 1.1.1 iPhone, make sure you are connected via WiFi and not EDGE, and everything should work fine.

this is curious since u say it's a problem with edge, i just had this problem like an hour ago while i was re-jailbraking my ipod touch, it's funny because you say it's an edge problem.. but well i just reopened safari and went back to jailbreakme.com, the thing it worked the fourth time i repeated the process hehe,
