New iOS Apps and Games of the Week: Apple TV 4 and more

Apple TV 4

Apple finally announced its fourth-generation Apple TV during its iPhone 6s keynote on Wednesday. The new set top box is joining Apple's iOS devices in getting its own App Store, which means Apple TV owners will be able to download third-party apps such as " At Bat for Apple TV" and games. The new Apple TV remote will feature a built-in accelerometer and gyroscope plus trackpad for playing titles such as Manticore Rising, Rayman Adventures and more. Apple also previewed the Nimbus Steelseries Controller as an Apple TV accessory on its Apple TV product page.

The updated Apple TV will be available in October starting at $149 for the 32GB model and $199 for the 64GB version.

Nimbus Steelseries Controller

Touch Arcade discovered that EA quietly removed several popular titles from the App Store. Titles such as Flight Control, Dead Space and more are no longer available for download. It is unknown if the games are gone for good or if they were just removed so better versions could be released in the future.

The sketching app Paper is now available for free for the iPhone.

Here are this week's most noteworthy games and apps released to the App Store through 09/06/15 to 09/12/15. Don't forget to follow us on Twitter and Facebook to keep updated on all the latest iPhone and iPad news.
