Apple adds more television providers to Single Sign-On in new iOS 10.2 beta

More television providers have been added to Apple's Single Sign-On in the fifth iOS 10.2 beta. CenturyLink Prism, Hawaiian Telecom, MetroCast, and GTA are now available in the new TV Provider section of the Settings app on iOS devices. The four new providers join DirecTV, Dish, Hotwire, Sling TV, who singed up to support the new feature since it was originally announced. While it is safe to assume Apple will be adding more providers in the future, some major companies, such as Comcast, are still holding out, and may eventually decide not to support the new feature at all.

iOS 10 has made deleting apps from your device a real headache. Before iOS 10 developers had the option of adding 3D Touch features to their apps, but with iOS 10 every app installed on your device includes a 3D Touch sharing option. This has made it difficult to delete apps from your device using the original jiggle technique. It really isn't a major issue, but it can be annoying when you're trying to simply delete and app form your device, and instead the 3D Touch menu keeps popping up.

DirecTV launches new iOS app after announcing new streaming service

On Monday, AT&T announced its new streaming service called DirecTV Now. The new service offers a variety of subscription tiers that allows users to stream live channels and On Demand movies and television shows. The four tiers include basic cable options, such as ESPN, FX and Cartoon Network. Plans start at $35 a month and go as high as $70 a month for over 120 channels. Users can also add HBO and Showtime for an additional $5 a month, and can get a free Apple TV by committing to three months of any pricing tier.

Despite rumors to the contrary, Apple has yet to add a camera to Apple Watch. While some watch owners might see this possibility as a distraction, others are chomping at the bit to FaceTime and snap photos directly from their wrists.
