Eyes Wide Games Announces One-Touch Baseball Title for Apple Watch

Eyes Wide Games today revealed that its new title, Watch This Homerun, will join Robot 5 Studios' Football Twos, as one of the first two sports games released for the Apple Watch. The goal of the game is to hit as many home runs as possible in a short amount of time.

In the game, players will be able to blast fastballs, curveballs and changeups out of the park by using simple one-touch controls. Players will also be able to complete full games in 10-15 seconds, and keep track of their achievements and personal stats via the official iPhone companion app. Watch This Homerun will be available later this month when the Apple Watch is officially released.

Hearthstone Now Available on iPhone and iPod touch

As promised, Blizzard Entertainment has updated Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft with an "all-new intuitive interface" for the iPhone and iPod touch. The game has also received a few minor bug fixes and an indicator to alert you if you're losing your connection.

Hearthstone is a collectible card game like Magic the Gathering. The game is free to play and promises to be easy for beginners to learn. Players can build their own collection of cards by participating in 1-on-1 battles and single player adventures. The game also features a pay-to-play Arena mode and the option to buy additional cards as in-app purchases, but spending real money is not necessary.

WWDC 2015 Announced for June 8-12

Apple has scheduled its annual Worldwide Developers Conference for June 8 through June 12 at San Francisco’s Moscone West. The 26th annual event will feature more than 100 technical sessions so developers can "learn about the future of iOS and OS X," according to the press release. This year will also include the most live streamed events in the history of the conference.

Apple Reveals Out-of-Warranty Repair Fees for Watch

Now that AppleCare+ pricing on Apple Watch has been released, many buyers will purchase coverage. Besides extending the default warranty, the service provides for two incidents of accidental damage repair for a fee. But what happens when the Apple Watch falls outside the warranty period, or if the device is not covered by an AppleCare+ plan?

The simple answer is that customers will have to pay out of pocket for repairs. Damage not covered under warranty or any necessary repairs after the warranty (or AppleCare+) expires incurs a fee. Apple Authorized Service Providers will charge for service based upon the following schedule:

Apple Watch Pre-Orders Exceed One Million Units

Apple Watch pre-orders impressed analysts if early reports are to be believed. Slice Intelligence released sales projection data estimating that over 950,000 people in the US pre-ordered an Apple Watch on Friday. If this number holds, then pre-orders for the entire weekend across eight initial release countries will easily exceed one million.

Analyst Amit Daryanani of RBC projected sales of up to five million Apple Watches this quarter. Demand is outstripping supply, with ship dates on many models delayed until summer. The official release date is April 24.
