Apple's dream of the Apple TV becoming a major player in the console market just took a major blow from Microsoft. One of the best selling video games, Minecraft, has been removed from the tvOS App Store due to a lack of players. Support for the game ended on September 24, but most news outlets did not notice until this week, highlighting the lack of interest of video games on the Apple TV.

Now that over half of active iOS devices are already running iOS 12, Apple is rolling out the next update. iOS 12.0.1 will include minor fixes for some issues that have been causing inconvenience for some iPhone owners. For those who have not yet upgraded to iOS 12, it comes highly recommended. iOS 12 optimizes much of the behind-the-scenes operation of any compatible iOS device.

In the recently released macOS Mojave, Apple has added another feature to its Continuity suite called Continuity Camera. The feature lets you take a photo or scan a document with your iPhone's camera and have it instantly available on your Mac. Continuity Camera works with several native apps including Pages, TextEdit, Keynote and Notes, and basically bypasses several steps that you would normally take to get a photo from your iPhone into a document on your Mac.

We interrupt the Halloween App of the Week to bring you this PSA: Sid Meier's Civilization VI is now availble for the iPhone, and it is currently 60% off. It was a pleasant surprise when Aspyr Media originally released a full port of Civilization VI for the iPad. I never considered the chance that they would bring it to the iPhone, but I was wrong, this week the iPad version has been updated with iPhone support.
