One of the more useful built-in features of iOS is the dictionary. Looking up words on the iPhone is easy with a long press or by using 3D Touch. Since the launch of iOS 12, Apple has added a new feature to the built-in dictionary. Users can quickly access a thesaurus as well. This makes it possible to find similar words or synonyms that are related to the target word.

Dead Island: Survivors is a mobile spin off of the popular zombie survival game from Techland. It is not a direct sequel, which is still in the works, according to Twitter. The official Dead Island account confirmed that Dead Island 2 is still in development, and that more information will be released at a later date.

In addition to adding several new Animoji including a tiger, koala, T-rex and ghost, and adding tongue detection, iOS 12 also introduces Memoji. Memoji are personalized avatars that essentially allow you to create an Animoji of yourself, letting you customize your head shape, skin tone, hair style, eyes, accessories and more. Sometimes Siri has a habit of butting into conversations, or in the recent case of the UK Defense Minister, interrupting speeches to Parliament. While Apple has been working to reduce the instances of Hey Siri being invoked by accident, there are times when iPhone owners want to make sure that Siri keeps quiet. Hey Siri can be incredibly helpful in a hands-free situation. There is, however, a simple way to disable Hey Siri when needed.

A new tool introduced in iOS 12 called "Screen Time" allows iOS users to monitor their device usage. Screen Time creates detailed daily and weekly Activity Reports that reveal how much time you're using with different apps. The tool was created to "[empower] customers with insight into how they are spending time with apps and websites," according to Apple.
