Is it safe to jailbreak iOS 8.1.1 with TaiG?

Some may remember the controversy surrounding TaiG team after a pirated app store was bundled with the first release of the evasi0n7 jailbreak for iOS 7. So is it safe to use the TaiG jailbreak tool to install Cydia on iOS 8.1.1?

iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak TaiG safety

The TaiG jailbreak has been declared safe by known jailbreak developers such as @MuscleNerd. Every time a new jailbreak tool is released, the software is examined with a fine-tooth comb by people who have actually jailbroken iOS devices themselves.

In other words, TaiG does not appear to install malware or contain any threats. There are two precautions that should be taken before jailbreaking:

1. Always back up your iOS 8 device before jailbreaking.
2. Uncheck the option to install 3K Assistant 1.0.0 (only Cydia is needed).
