There's no shortage of options when it comes to customizing the iOS keyboard. Especially now that iOS 8 allows third-party keyboards, which can be downloaded in the App Store. iKeywi has been around for some time as a jailbreak tweak, and is now updated to iKeywi 3 for iOS 8 compatibility. The developer also launched an Apple-approved version of iKeywi on the App Store.

Both options, iKeywi (App Store, $0.99) and iKeywi 3 (Cydia, $1.99) provide similar features. The main difference is that jailbreakers don't have to fumble around with installing and using a third-party keyboard. iKeywi 3 simply becomes integrated into the stock keyboard when the tweak is enabled.

It was a slow week for App Store releases since Apple's iTunes Connect was shutdown from December 22-29, but there were a few noteworthy jailbreak tweaks released to Cydia over the holidays. Here's a quick look at some of the tweaks and the few apps released to Cydia and the App Store from 12/29/14 to 01/04/15. The App Store should start filling up again with new apps and games now that it has been open for one full week.

Good news for iPhone photography buffs who have jailbroken devices. The popular mod CameraTweak has been updated for iOS 8. Now in its third version, CameraTweak 3 continues to deliver, bringing useful enhancements directly to the stock iOS Camera app. While iOS 8 now includes many features that were once the province of jailbreak mods, CameraTweak still adds more.

Once installed, CameraTweak will immediately be visible when the Camera app is opened. The settings for CameraTweak 3 include a complete user manual, for those who would like more thorough documentation. Since its release two years ago, Auxo has been a must-have tweak for jailbreakers. Now in its third iteration, Auxo 3 launches with full iOS 8 and iPhone 6 Plus support. For those not familiar with Auxo, this jailbreak tweak radically changes the app switcher and reduces the need to press the physical home button.

Three main components make up Auxo 3, and these are reflected in the settings. The Multi-Center, Quick Switcher, and Hot Corners make up the bulk of Auxo. In addition, there are advanced options to customize the experience. Once installed, Auxo provides a refined look and feel that blends in perfectly with stock iOS 8 functionality and appearance.

Getting the perfect shot on an iPhone can sometimes require patience. Even with burst mode, the Camera app takes time to load up and display a preview before images can be captured. The jailbreak tweak QuickShoot Pro for iOS 8 changes all this, by making image and video capture nearly instant directly from the home screen.

With QuickShoot installed, the Camera app icon acts as a capture button itself, without ever loading the normal camera user interface.
