Out-of-office automatic email replies are useful to let people know that you aren't viewing or responding to your emails because you are on vacation or away for any other reason. Every email provider worth its salt has the option somewhere, including Outlook. If you use Outlook to manage other emails like your Gmail or iCloud accounts, you should go directly to the source to set up an out-of-office reply (i.e. log in to Gmail to set up automatic replies for that account).

Last week we looked at the gaming slump affecting the Apple App Store. It is unclear why 2019 has been devoid from good releases, but we speculated that it may have something to do with Apple's upcoming subscription service. The tech giant didn't spend much time on Apple Arcade at its Services event earlier this month, but the Finacial Times has since learned that Apple has budgeted more the $500 million for its gaming service.

Getting content offline can vary widely between different sources and apps. When you're depending on an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to get through a long flight or commute, it means downloading music, books and video directly to your iOS device. Finding books to read without a data connection requires browsing the books that are stored locally in the Books app.

The Apple Watch Series 4 (and later) offers fall detection to help users in case of falls. This is a great feature for the elderly and other people who are a fall risk. When enabled, your Apple Watch will tap you on the wrist and sound an alarm when it detects a hard fall. You can then contact emergency services by tapping the alert on your Watch, or dismiss the alert by pressing the Digital Crown, tapping Close in the upper-left corner, or tapping "I'm OK."

Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference is scheduled for Monday, June 3, 2019 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California. As usual, Apple is expected to preview their next operating, iOS 13, at the beginning of the event. "People familiar with the development of the operating system" have tipped off 9to5Mac about some of the upcoming features planned for iOS 13.
