Fox Closes Twitch and YouTube Accounts After Accidentally Releasing Family Guy Mobile Game

TinyCo's Family Guy game for mobile devices official release date isn't until April 10, but some savvy mobile gamers were able to download it a few days early from the New Zealand App Store. According to TouchArcade, this was a legit download, and no one used any tricks or stole the game, however Fox was not happy when gamers started uploading clips of Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff to YouTube and Twitch.

Fox claims that the game was accidentally made available on the App Store due to a "brief technical error" and began asking YouTube and Twitch users to remove their uploaded footage before sending out copyright claims. A few TouchArcade members' accounts were disabled on Twitch, and all videos featuring Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff were removed from YouTube.

R.B.I. Baseball 14 Coming to iOS, PS3 and Xbox 360 on April 9th

Major League Baseball Advanced Media plan to release a reboot of the R.B.I. Baseball franchise on April 9, 2014. The game titled R.B.I. Baseball 14 will be $4.99 for iOS devices and $19.99 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. An Android version will be released at a later date, followed by PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions in May.

Polygon, who got an early look at the Xbox 360 version, describes the game as "bare-bones." This shouldn't come as a surprise since the developer has been promising a return to the roots of the franchise. The game offers no online play or team or player rankings, in hope fans will take the time to discover new baseball clubs and players instead of just playing their favorites. Jamie Leece, vice president of games at MLB Advanced Media says that they purposely left out things like player rankings and relief pitchers warm-ups to speed up the pace of the games.

Where is Siri's Back Button?

Siri may have improved a lot since its launch in 2011, but the lack of a "back" button on some of its results can be infuriating. This especially true when you're searching for places such as local restaurants. There is a back button on the "Details" page for each individual restaurant that takes you back to your original query, but there is no way to go back once you have accessed the Maps app for directions.

Siri Back Button

It seems like a no brainer that you should be able to return to the original Siri results without having to ask the same question over and over. However, this does not work anytime you leave Siri to open a separate app. You can however get back to your original search results by following these instructions:

iOS App of the Week: Comedy Central

Comedy Central fans can now access episodes of all their favorite CC shows in one place. The Comedy Central app for iOS devices gives users access to over 10 programs plus original digital shorts. The best part about the app is that users can watch full episodes of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Colbert Report, South Park and @midnight without having to sign-in through a TV provider. However, other shows such as Tosh.0 and Workaholics do require a cable television subscription.

The app offers full episodes of the CC's top television shows the day after they air, and it includes stand-up specials plus archives of older programs like Chappelle's Show and Futurama. It also better than watching clips of Colbert on Flipboard, and users can continue watching right where they left off if they pause or stop an episode.

Vine Adds the Ability to Send Messages to Your Friends and Family

Vine users can now send video or text messages to anyone listed in their Contacts app, or to other Vine members. To send messages via the Vine app, just select the “Messages” option in the Settings menu or tap the Message button on a person's profile.

The new "VM" feature only offers the ability to start one-to-one conversations, not group chats. However, you can send as many video messages as you want, you just have to start separate conversations with each contact. Like Facebook, VM also includes two inbox options: The first option is for people you know, and the other is for "people outside your network". You can disable the option to receive messages from strangers by turning off the "Other Inbox" feature in your Settings menu.
