Apple backs down to Taylor Swift, changes how Apple Music pays artists

Taylor Swift 1989

Taylor Swift has forced Apple to change its policy on how it will pay artists for its upcoming music streaming service by penning a Tumblr post titled, "To Apple, Love Taylor." In the letter Swift explains why she withheld her album, 1989, from Apple Music. Swift said she found it "shocking," "disappointing," and completely unlike Apple not to pay writers, producers and artists for songs played during a user's free 90-day-trial of Apple Music.

New iOS Apps, Games and JB Tweaks of the Week: E3 2015 and more

Freak Circus Racing

There were a lot of big announcements at E3 2015 this year, especially when it comes to console gaming. Some of the biggest announcements included Fallout 4, Kingdom Hearts 3, a bunch of new Nintendo titles like Star Fox Zero and The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, and much, much more.

On the mobile side of things Square-Enix unveiled Hitman: Sniper and announced that Kingdom Hearts Unchained Key will be coming to the U.S. App Store. Capcom quietly announced that an iOS version of the PSP title Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is coming "soon," but didn't reveal many details about the port except that it would include new features. Other mobile previewed at E3 include: World of Tanks Blitz, The Witcher Adventure Game, Godfire: Rise of Prometheus, Minions Paradise and Siegefall. You can check out some E3 trailers and gameplay videos at the bottom of this post.

iOS App of the Week: Fallout Shelter

I'm not sure why Bethesda teamed up with Behaviour Interactive to release a mobile game based on the popular post-apocalyptic franchise. Is it just a gift to hold fans over until November 10, when Fallout 4 hits shelves? Maybe it's an introduction to the Fallout franchise for new fans? Whatever Bethesda's end game is, Fallout Shelter is a resource management title that is both fun for new and old fans.
