Is the Deeda the First Real iPhone Competitor?

There have been a lot of news stories since the announcement of the Apple iPhone touting multimedia or smartphone products from other companies as "iPhone killers" or some other label that suggests the device might beat the iPhone to it's proverbial punch. The only problem has been that these devices don't stand up to what we know about the iPhone, or fall into another device genre altogether. The announcement of a new line of products from Brevisys Technologies, a Boston, MA company, may change all of that.

Apple Sticking to June iPhone Release Date

In a recent email update to users signed up for iPhone updates on the Apple Inc website, Apple indicated that they are holding to their June release date for the iPhone. The email quipped to recipients: "Thanks for signing up. You'll be the first to hear the latest about iPhone -- coming this June. That gives you just enough time to think of ways to break the news to your current phone."

Unconfirmed reports further detail this date to be June 11, though these reports are still largely unconfirmed.

Apple iPhone to be released June 11

A new, perhaps not-so-rumor, is fanning the flames of the iPhone buzz. According to CNET, a recent call by one of their staffers to Cingular/AT&T customer support revealed a June 11 release date.

The expected launch date coincides with Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco from June 11 to June 15, and is a few days earlier than the recently rumored June 15 release date (which was proven to be false).
