The hit strategy game ROME: Total War is now available on the App Store for the iPad. Total War was originally released as a PC title in 2004 by Creative Assembly before the game rights were passed to Sega. The game was eventually released for Mac OS X in 2010 by Feral Interactive, and it is now available for iOS.

Total War is set during the rule of the late Roman Republic and early Roman Empire. The object of the game is to balance economic, civil, religious and military power while trying to capture 50 provinces, win over the citizens and eventually overthrow Rome.

Apple has been busy prepping its online store for the upcoming 2016 holiday shopping season. On Tuesday, the iPhone-maker rolledout holiday discounts for its newly launched Apple Pay on the web feature. iPhone, iPad and Mac owners can earn discounts, iTunes gift cards and free shipping by using the Apple Pay feature online at participating retailers. One week after releasing the original iOS 10.2 beta to the general public, Apple has released the second beta to developers. The updated beta includes Apple's new TV app, which was originally announced at the iPhone-maker's October 27 Mac event. Apple claims the TV app is going to “completely change" how iOS and Apple TV users watch television.

The app works as a sort of TV guide that helps users locate their favorite television shows and movies across Apple devices and different platforms. The app supports other Apple services, such as Siri Live Tune-In and Single Sign-On, which will be included in the tvOS 10.1 update when it is officially released later this year.

The king of live streaming apps, Periscope, is popular due to its simplicity. All it takes is around three taps for anyone with a smartphone to broadcast from anywhere in the world.
