AT&T has launched its Unlimited &More data plans, including a skinny bundle of live TV channels available around the clock. Over 30 channels are included with select data plans offering unlimited talk, text and data for a flat fee. The service can even be upgraded with AT&T &More Premium, which delivers more streaming movie and music options on top of the basic package.
What is it?
A new collection of unlimited data plans from AT&T Mobility offers over 30 channels of live TV included as part of the service. AT&T Unlimited &More data plans include unlimited voice calling, messaging and data. Texting is unlimited to 120 countries. Voice calling is completely free between the US, Mexico and Canada. On top of this, live TV stations as well as streaming movies and shows can be watched on your favorite device at any time.
What channels are included?
AT&T Unlimited &More offers over 30 channels, such as A&E, AMC, Animal Planet, BBC America, Cartoon Network, CNN, Discovery, Food Network, Hallmark Channel, HGTV, History, IFC, Lifetime, Sundance, TBS, TCM, TLC, TNT and Viceland, among others. Current AT&T subscribers must switch to one of the new unlimited plans. Those on a different carrier must switch their phone number to AT&T and join an Unlimited &More plan. iPhone, iPad and Apple TV owners can find the AT&T WatchTV iOS app free on the App Store.
What is the video quality?
AT&T Unlimited &More subscribers can enjoy unlimited video at 480p DVD quality. Premium subscribers get 1080p HD quality streaming at the fastest 4G LTE speeds.
What comes with Premium access?
The Unlimited &More Premium plans have higher video quality, as well as a 15 GB personal hotspot included. One of seven different entertainment options can be selected and included as part of the plan: HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Starz, VRV, Amazon Music, or Pandora Premium.
Does personal hotspot come with the Unlimited &More plan?
No, personal hotspot on the iPhone or iPad is not included. To use tethering or mobile hotspot on an iOS device, you must upgrade to the Unlimited &More Premium plan, which includes 15 GB of personal hotspot data.
How much does it cost?
Pricing varies depending on how many lines are included in the plan. For example, someone with one line pays $70 per month. Four lines on the same account will be charged $40 per line, totaling $160 per month. Premium plans start at $80 per month, with four lines costing $48 per line for a total monthly charge of $190.
