Devices running iOS 13 or later can take advantage of Low Data Mode. This feature helps apps on your device reduce their network data use.
Like the Low Power Mode introduced in iOS 9, Low Data Mode allows you to reserve data when you're in danger of running through your monthly cellular plan. Low Data Mode is automatically enabled when using the personal hotspot feature on your iPhone, but it needs to be manually enabled any other time. Here's how you can enable Low Data Mode on your iOS device.
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap Cellular.
- Tap Cellular Data Options.
- Tap the Low Data Mode slider so it is ON/GREEN
Apps on your device will now use less data.
