Beer ordering debuts on Business Chat at Citizens Bank Park

Phillies fans can now order a beer right from their seats thanks to Apple's Business Chat. Aramark is testing its brew2you program at Citizens Bank Park. The automated beverage assistant could end up as the killer app for Business Chat, at least for sporting events. For now, the pilot program is limited to specific sections of the park during 10 home games.

Business Chat is a new feature in iOS 11.3 and macOS 10.13.4 that allows users to contact customer service through the Messages app on their iPhone or Mac. Currently only in beta in the United States, Business Chat caters to the text messaging crowd allowing them to talk to companies without having to a make phone call. It is also useful for online businesses that do not have physical retail locations.

How do I use Business Chat on my iPhone?

Apple introduced Business Chat in iOS 11.3. It is currently in beta so functionality may change. Business Chat allows you to talk with a customer service representative through iMessage for any participating business.

You can identify a participating business by the Messages icon next to their name in Spotlight search, Siri, Safari or Maps. To start a chat thread, just tap the Messages icon and you will be taken to iMessage where you can then chat with a representative for that business.
