How to navigate the Reddit app

Reddit

The Reddit app for iOS has made navigating the news aggregation website easier for both new and old users. While it still has an occasional glitch, the app offers an easy to use UI with tabs for News, the famous Reddit Front Page and current popular content. Reddit users can also easily search for content, post content, and chat using the tool bar at the bottom of their display. While some features are easy to locate some, such as switching accounts, or surfing anonymously are not so obvious. Below are a few tips on how to better navigate the Reddit app for iOS.

How do I turn on dark mode in the Reddit app on iPhone?

Reddit does have a Night theme for low-light situations. Turn it on in Settings (tap the Reddit icon in the top left corner of screen, then look for Settings at the bottom of the menu that comes up). In the Theme section you can set your theme to Night all the time, or you can have Night theme automatically turn on when it is actually nighttime with the toggle below.

What you need to know about Reddit: The Official App

Reddit official iOS app

After years of serving as one of the Internet’s most popular social websites despite never having an official mobile app, Reddit now has an official mobile app.

The process of this app’s creation began several months ago when Reddit acquired the popular third-party Reddit browsing app Alien Blue. At the time they named it their official third-party browsing app, but as of today Alien Blue has been taken off of the app store and Reddit’s now official app has taken its place.

So how is it? Well anyone that used Alien Blue previously will notice that a lot of that app’s designs are still the foundation of this new, official app. The main philosophy here appears to be minimalism, which has always been Reddit’s philosophy in terms of layout.

Reddit Launches Ask Me Anything App for the iPhone

AMA interviews on Reddit have become a popular way for artists, scientists, politicians and even normal people to interact with the Reddit community, promote upcoming projects and address social issues. Some may even argue that the Ask Me Anything threads are the only thing worth reading on the social news website. Maybe this is why Reddit has decided to launch an app solely dedicated to AMA interviews.

Ask Me Anything

The new app from Reddit gives users an easy way to sort and access all the latest and past popular AMA threads posted to reddit.com. Users can search various categories like Entertainment or Science/Tech, or use the Hot tab to find the latest trending topics. The app also marks active threads and it allows users to up vote the best questions and content from their mobile devices.
