I've never used an electronic toothbrush before, because I've never seen the point. It doesn't save you money because you must replace the head every few months, and I think I can do a good enough job on my own. After one use with the E1 I was in love. My mouth never felt so clean and I actually looked forward to brushing, but this review isn't about the benefits of electronic toothbrushes. It's about another "smart" device, a toothbrush that connects to your iPhone.
Replacement heads for the Colgate Connect E1 Smart Electric Toothbrush are $19 through colgate.com. It is recommended that you change your brush head every 3-months. The E1 refill pack comes with 3 "easy-on, easy-off" brush heads.
The Colgate E1 Toothbrush is "designed to be used by children +6 years and adults," according to Colgate. Children between 6-7 years should be monitored by an adult when using the toothbrush. Colgate also notes that the E1 is "not for mentally or physically disabled children or adults unless they are supervised by a responsible person."
