iPhone App Helping Smart Shoppers Find Xbox One, Playstation 4 In Stock

Shoppers who did not have the foresight to pre-order a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One may be left out in the cold this upcoming holiday season. Both the PS4 and Xbox One have already sold more than a million consoles worldwide, making stock impossible to find. However, some savvy holiday shoppers have been able to nab a next-generation console using the whohas.it iOS app.

PlayStation 4, Xbox One Tracker

The whohas.it app allows users to receive free mobile notifications, emails and desktop alarms when out of stock products like the PS4 and Xbox become available for sale through any retailer. The app is simple to use: Just download it for free from the Apple App Store and create a free account. Navigate to "Search" and locate the item(s) you're looking for then tap the "Follow" button. You can then choose to receive "Web Alerts," "Email Alerts," "Mobile Alerts, or all three. The app will then alert you when the item you're following becomes available for purchase or pre-order.

PlayStation 4 iOS and Android App Now Available

Sony's PlayStation 4 companion app is now available for iOS and Android devices. The PlayStation App allows anyone to browse the PlayStation Store, and gives users access to system guides, manuals, and the PlayStation blog. PS4 App users will also be able to check-in on their friends activity, compare trophies, and view their own profile or recent activity without using their console.

PlayStation 4 iOS App

The next-generation PlayStation 4 console officially launches this Friday, November 15, 2013. Official launch events are taking place at over 4,000 GameStop stores across the country, and some will begin as early as 6 p.m. on November 14. The PlayStation 4 is expected to be one of the hottest and possibly hardest to find products this holiday shopping season. Pre-orders quickly sold out after the next-generation console was announced back in February, and it is unknown how many extra consoles will be available at launch.
