Siri to become a better personal assistant in iOS 9

iOS 9 is less about new features and more about "enhancements" that will make using your iPhone and iPad even easier and better. Siri will be one of the beneficiaries of iOS 9 when the new OS is released this fall. Apple promises that the personal assistant will not only be faster and smarter, but more proactive. Users will be able to ask Siri to remind them to stop at a location they marked in Apple Maps when they get in their car, or to play a specific playlist when then they plug in their headphones.

Siri is also going to become a lot better at searches. One example Apple gives on its iOS 9 preview is asking Siri to search for "photos and videos based on dates, locations, and album titles." The Search feature on your iPhone and iPad will also improve thanks to Siri. Users will be able to perform searches deep within apps, find sports scores for their favorite teams and quickly locate contacts. The Search option will also recommend relevant people, and suggest apps based on your daily routine.

Other iOS 9 Search features include the ability for your iPhone to automatically add Calendar events from email, driving reminders based on traffic updates, and other shortcuts based on your habits.

iOS 9 will be available sometime this fall.

How about getting rid of it and using google voice? Siri is a joke by comparison.
