BioShock, Civilization Revolution 2 and More on Sale on the App Store

2K Games is currently holding a spring sale for some of its top premium games on the Apple App Store. The normally $10 BioShock is now only $2.99. The first-person shooter was ported to the iPhone and iPad with touch-screen gamepad controls in 2014. The iOS version is the same complete version as the original Xbox 360 release. The game supports the iPhone 5s and later running iOS 7.1 or later, the original and second-generation iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad mini 2 and 3. BioShock also includes third-party controller support.

Apple Patents iPhone Camera with Light Splitter

Apple is continually improving the iPhone camera, and it comes as no surprise the company has been awarded another patent in this area. The latest, simply titled Digital Camera with Light Splitter illustrates a possible camera upgrade for future iPhones.

According to AppleInsider, the design would further improve low-light performance and color accuracy. The camera works by splitting incoming light into red, green and blue wavelengths. This would allow three independent imaging sensors to capture the scene.

Unauthorized Biography 'Becoming Steve Jobs' Now Available

The unauthorized biography of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs is now available in various formats on Amazon.com and the iBooks Store. The new book written by Brent Schlender and Rick Tetzeli has been endorsed by Apple, unlike Walter Isaacson's biography, which Apple CEO Tim Cook said did a “tremendous disservice” to Jobs.

Eddy Cue, Apple’s chief of software and Internet services, tweeted his approval of the biography last week, and Apple promoted it on the official iBooks Twitter account when it was released on Tuesday.
