Scott Cawthon talks Five Nights at Freddy's 4 Halloween update

Five Nights at Freddy's 4 Halloween

Developer Scott Cawthon announced today that he is planning to release a free update for Five Nights at Freddy's 4. The post titled "Halloween Content Update" was published on the game's official Steam page. Cawthon said that he is currently working on new content that will include "a cheat menu, a challenge menu, a twist on a familiar minigame" and a possible sneak peek at a new game that is not FNaF5.

Cawthon also noted that he will not include "the box" in the upcoming update. He goes on to explain that FNaF fans have quickly unraveled the lore of the first three games, but not one person has figured out the story for part 4, and it is probably best left that way.

Five Nights at Freddy's 4 version 1.1 and Cawthon's new title, or at least a playable demo, will be available on Saturday, October 31 for free. Cawthon did not note if the update will be available on all platforms or only through Steam.

Five Nights at Freddy's 4 is available for $2.99 on the Apple App Store. It supports all devices running iOS 5.1.1 or later.
