The TaiG team announced a new version of the TaiG jailbreak tool just days before the launch of iOS 8.4. Now iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users running iOS 8.1.3-8.3 can jailbreak in a few easy steps. Of course, there are usually caveats for early adopters and TaiG 2.0.0 is no different.

UPDATE: TaiG has been updated to 2.2.0. This version jailbreaks iOS 8.4, is more stable and fixes several issues. Follow the instructions below to jailbreak iOS 8.4 on Windows.

The TaiG team has released a new jailbreak tool for iOS 8.3. TaiG version 2.0.0 was released several days before iOS 8.4 is set to launch on June 30. iPhone and iPad owners can download the jailbreak tool at taig.com/en/, but before you do please note that the Cydia Substrate is not compatible with iOS 8.3, and some users are having issues installing the jailbreak.

Recents is a jailbreak tweak that places recent call information directly into the Notification Center. Normally iPhone owners must pull up the Phone app and tap Recents to see recent and missed calls. Recent FaceTime calls can also be viewed separately in the FaceTime app. Recents seeks to make viewing recent call information simpler and more convenient.

Color Convos puts a unique spin on recoloring the Messages app on jailbroken iOS devices. Color coding individual message threads with custom colors via an RGB slider takes place right inside the app. Once installed, Color Convos blends right into the stock Messages app. Tap and hold an outgoing message bubble and the option to Change Color can be accessed by tapping More in the pop-up menu.

The iOS keyboard is ubiquitous, so inevitably there are pitfalls that can't be avoided. Most of these annoyances can be customized or changed thanks to third-party keyboards entering the scene. Other tweaks such as SwipeSelection make life easier, but are only available via Cydia on jailbroken devices. Two such mods were recently released on Cydia, which can improve the typing experience on jailbroken iPhones, iPads and iPod touch devices.
