LockEditor adds fine tuning to the appearance of the lock screen on jailbroken iOS devices. Minimalists will enjoy the option to remove keypad button rings on the passcode entry screen. Those looking to customize can add flavor with custom text, or toggle over 20 individual options to mod the lock screen. Losing track of the currently playing app can be easy for avid music lovers. After all, there many ways to play tunes on an iPhone or iPad. Normally, iOS does not display the now playing app, only the artist and currently playing track. If forgotten, the only way to find which app is playing the audio is to backtrack to the app switcher.

The jailbreak tweak Helius 2 provides another way to modify lock screen music controls on iOS devices. Similar to Spin or the CustomCover theming tool, Helius 2 makes cosmetic changes without drastically changing functionality. Once installed, the tweak can be enabled with a toggle under Settings.

Those with jailbroken iPhones are used to adding new options to the Settings app. Now the tweak QuartzSettings actually makes it possible to customize the Settings app itself. With several themes to choose from, the appearance of the entire Settings area of iOS can be radically altered. Once installed from Cydia, make sure the toggle for QuartzSettings is enabled. There are three included themes to choose from under Themes, and a Preview button to test things out.
