Add More Features to the iOS Keyboard

Many iOS keyboard enhancements are available, such as PredictiveKeyboard and SwipeSelection. Besides making certain tasks simpler with the virtual keyboard, the right tweak can save time. The same developers who created The Quick Brown Fox have launched a paid version of their jailbreak tweak named Keyboard Control Pro.

So what additional features does one get for $1.99? Keyboard Control Pro includes a whole new set of features under Quick Input that can be configured in the settings. One of these features, the Login Pilot, automatically inserts one of three preset email addresses in a login field to speed up the process on secure websites.

Move the Volume HUD to iOS Status Bar

Looking for a new way to display the volume level on iOS? The default heads-up display (HUD) pops up right in the middle of the screen every time the volume level is adjusted. Now thanks to developer Alan Yip, there's a good looking tweak that moves the volume indicator to the status bar.

Once installed, tapping the volume up or down buttons will no longer block the center of the display. The volume HUD appears right in the status bar. When an app is in full screen mode, the status bar will even slide down as the volume is being changed, then slide back up out of the way.

Import iOS Camera Roll Videos to Instagram

Instagram's video feature has been gaining in popularity since its release, making it possible to capture videos to share instantly from any iOS device. Of course jailbreakers are always on the lookout for how an app can be improved. Now the tweak InstaChooser does just that, and adds the ability to import existing videos directly from the iOS Camera Roll.

Once installed, InstaChooser can be enabled or disabled via the Settings. When enabled, the tweak adds an Import button to the Instagram video capture screen. Just tap this button and a video less than 15 seconds long can be imported directly into Instagram from the Camera roll.

Angry Birds Star Wars Coming to the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U

A few days after announcing Angry Birds Star Wars 2, Rovio Entertainment also announced that the original ABSW game would be coming to console systems on October 29th. The game will be available for the Nintendo 3DS, the Wii, Wii U, Sony's PS3 and PS Vita and the Xbox 360. Rovio is adding 20 exclusive levels to the game, plus some new game modes.

Rovio's Angry Birds Star Wars was originally released to the App Store on November 8, 2012. The game features 6 Star Wars-themed worlds plus the Golden Droid bonus levels. Rovio also released a series of ABSW toys and board games to tie-in with the game's release.

Google Brings Full Browser History and New Explore Feature to iOS Devices

Google rolled out updates for two of its more popular iOS apps on Wednesday. The Google Chrome browser now shows your entire browsing history, instead of just the most recently closed tabs. You can view your browsing history by tapping the new "History" tab under Settings. To clear your history, just tap the "Clear Browsing Data" bar at the bottom of the page. This will take you to the Privacy settings where you can delete your entire browsing history, cache or cookies. Other improvements to Chrome include better integration with other Google apps, data cost savings, and fullscreen for the iPad.

Google Maps also received a new look for the iPad, and the new Explore feature that Google has been championing for this update. Explore allows you to find specific locations like local places to eat, drink and shop. To use the new feature, just tap the search bar and then tap the the Explore card that pops up. You can then choose the category you want explore like Eat, Drink or Sleep. Each category also features a few subcategories for you to choose from. Other new features include live traffic updates and a simpler 5-star rating system.
