Will the iPhone support the Ogg Vorbis (.ogg) audio format?

Comments

I've written an ogg lib for iphone, so yes it's possible now.

Care to share a link? Have you released it as some kind of open source?

What the fuck is "some kind of open source"? Something is either open source or it isn't.

This is an interesting website. The content and the information in the website is very impressive.

If you try to play an Ogg Vorbis file, the media player will hang indefinitely. Only a sub-standard software developer (e.g. Apple) would allow this to happen. A quality software developer would at least implement a check in the media player to inform the user that the format is not one which is supported.

But luckily, some tools, WinX MediaTrans (https://www.winxdvd.com/mediatrans/) for instance, are available to convert ogg to iPhone supported audio format automatically when transferring ogg to iPhone.
That makes things easier.
