PlayStation 4 iOS and Android App Now Available

Sony's PlayStation 4 companion app is now available for iOS and Android devices. The PlayStation App allows anyone to browse the PlayStation Store, and gives users access to system guides, manuals, and the PlayStation blog. PS4 App users will also be able to check-in on their friends activity, compare trophies, and view their own profile or recent activity without using their console.

The next-generation PlayStation 4 console officially launches this Friday, November 15, 2013. Official launch events are taking place at over 4,000 GameStop stores across the country, and some will begin as early as 6 p.m. on November 14. The PlayStation 4 is expected to be one of the hottest and possibly hardest to find products this holiday shopping season. Pre-orders quickly sold out after the next-generation console was announced back in February, and it is unknown how many extra consoles will be available at launch.

Pebble Smartwatch Enhanced iOS 7 Notification System Now Available

Pebble CEO Eric Migicovsky announced last week that its customers would soon be able to receive full iOS 7 Notification Center alerts on their smartwatch. And as promised, version 1.3.0 of the Pebble IOS app is now available. Of course this means you will need an iPhone 4s or higher that is running iOS 7 or later to take advantage of the update.

The updated iOS app now allows you to receive all alerts from your device instead of just calls and text messages. This includes any apps that have access to your Notification Center like Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and so on.

NBA 2K14 Companion App Now Available for the iPhone and iPad

2K Sports has released an iOS companion app for its popular console game NBA 2K14. MyNBA2K14 allows gamers to stay updated on MyCAREER stats, online multiplayer records, and leaderboards while they are away from their PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360. The app also features an NBA Pick-Em mini-game which players can use to earn extra VC (in-game currency), and there is a bonus NBA 2K themed card battle game.

The console version of the game is currently available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and it also available as an iOS app. The iOS version is $7.99 and works with the iPad 2 and up and the iPhone 4 and up. It requires iOS 5.0 or later.

Hearthstone Heroes of Warcraft Confirmed for iPhone and Android Devices

Before announcing its new World of Warcraft expansion Warlords of Draenor at Blizzcon 2013, Blizzard revealed that its free-to-play card game Hearthstone Heroes of Warcraft will also be available on the iPhone and Android devices. The game was originally only expected to land on Windows, Mac and the iPad. The mobile version will launch after the desktop version sometime in Q2 of next year.

Hearthstone is a Magic: The Gathering-like digital collectible card game where players can battle as one of nine Warcraft heroes. Players will be able to earn free cards while playing the game, and will also be able to purchase additional card packs as in-app purchases, or by using their Battle.net balance.
