AAPL Stock Weekly Outlook: Merrill Lynch downgrades Apple while other analysts remain bullish, iPhone 6s to be announced Sept. 9 and more

Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) stock had a tough week, dropping to prices not seen since January. After opening the week at $121.50, share prices dropped precipitously on Tuesday and closed at $114.64 (and then dropped further to $112.95 in after hours trading). A bit was gained back on Wednesday after hitting the weekly low of $112.10 during trading. Share prices then leveled off for the rest of the week, closing Friday's session at $115.52 for about a 5% loss on the week.

Apple to launch iPhone 6s, new iPads and Apple TV in September

Save the date. Apple has probably scheduled a media event for Wednesday, September 9th to reveal the iPhone 6s. But that's not all, according to John Paczkowski at BuzzFeed. The iPhone updates are just the tip of the iceberg, with new iPads and a long-awaited Apple TV refresh also in the works. The only remaining question is whether or not Apple will deliver the rumored 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

HBO NOW iOS app updated with Chromecast support, Amazon fireTV support 'coming soon'

HBO today has officially ended its exclusive deal with Apple by updating its NOW iOS app with Chromecast support. Version 1.2.0 of the HBO NOW app allows Chromecast users to cast HBO original series, movies, comedy specials, documentaries and more to their television sets. Originally HBO NOW subscribers could only stream HBO NOW programing using Apple devices, such as an iPad or Apple TV.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch downgrades Apple as stocks dip

Apple stock (NASDAQ: AAPL) has been in a rough patch ever since the company announced its third quarter results two weeks ago. Despite it being a record breaking Q3 for Apple, the numbers didn't quite meet Wall Street expectations, and the share price has been sliding ever since. The day before the earnings call shares closed at $132.07, close to their all time high. On Monday the stock fell below its 200 day moving average and investors took note, as yesterday saw the highest volume trading since January.

iPhone 6s leaks show no camera bulge

Now that components of the iPhone 6s including the A9 processor and Force Touch module are in mass production, Apple has sent CAD design renderings to case manufacturers. As in the past, these renderings have allegedly leaked. This time uSwitch posted the renderings. What's interesting is the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have one obvious difference.
