It used to be that if you wanted to do any video editing aside from trimming, you'd have to pull your video into iMovie or a third-party video editing app. With iOS 13 that is no longer the case - the updated operating system makes just about all the photo editing tools available for videos as well. Now you can adjust the contrast, brightness, saturation and more, add filters, crop, rotate, straighten and mute audio all from the Photos app.

iOS 13 has arrived. Apple's latest mobile operating system is packed with performance optimizations and enhancements. Anyone with an iPhone 6s and later can install iOS 13 from Settings to start using new features. Here are some highlights of iOS 13.

Your estimated time of arrival (ETA) is useful information whether you are meeting up with friends or trying to coordinate with your spouse or co-workers. Every navigation app gives you your ETA, which you can relay to whomever with a simple text, but many now let you send it directly from the app, including Apple Maps. Apple already addressed sending ETA with the Home ETA shortcut in iOS 12.

iOS 13 introduces a powerful new accessibility feature called Voice Control, that allows the user to accomplish just about anything that can be done through gestures by using verbal commands. While Siri can accomplish multi-step tasks like write a text or create a reminder, Voice Control not only does the same, but can also let the user thoroughly navigate through their iPhone using tap and swipe commands and a numbered grid overlay when necessary.

Due to popular demand from iPad users for mouse support, iPadOS obliged, adding support for both wired and Bluetooth pointing devices. iOS 13 did the same, adding the feature as an Accessibility option, so you can now connect your favorite Bluetooth mouse to your iPhone. Unless your favorite Bluetooth mouse is the Magic Mouse 2, which for some unfathomable reason, will not pair. The Magic Mouse 1 will connect though, and so will just about any other wireless mouse.
